Frances Ann (BeDunnah) Norris, 91, of Kittanning Township, died on Friday, February 27, 2009, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.Born February 17, 1918, in Parkersburg, Iowa, she was a daughter of the late Arno Carver and Aval Annette (Baylor) BeDunnah.She attended Cincinnati University, and was the former owner of the Keystone Dollar Stores in Kittanning, New Bethlehem, and Leechburg. Mrs. Norris was a founder and former program director for the Armstrong County Herb Group. She enjoyed gardening, bird watching, and the study of medicinal herbs.Mrs. Norris is survived by a son, Samuel David Norris of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Virginia Ann Wells of Killeen, TX; a stepson, Ronald K. Norris of Philadelphia; a son-in-law, Randall Tost of Ford City, seven grandsons, Jason, Jeremy, Seth, and Benjamin Tost, Kirk and Matthew Norris, and Richard Trulli; three granddaughters, Amanda Wolfe, Samantha Brown, and Michelle Trulli; two stepgrandchildren, Kristi Christman and Leslie Norris; five great-grandsons, Zachary Michael Wolfe, Cameron Jacob Wolfe, Gavin Robert Tost, River John Tost, and Thomas Neal Hoppe; and two step-great-grandchildren, Morgan and Brian Christman.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Kidwell Norris, whom she married on June 21, 1946, and who died in 1970; a daughter, Emily Susan (Norris) Tost in 2000; and a brother, Baylor BeDunnah.Friends will be received on Tuesday, March 3, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., in the WELCH FUNERAL HOME, 1032 Fourth Avenue, Ford City, where funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 4, 2009 at 11:00 a.m., with her grandson, Jason Tost, officiating. Interment in Forest Hill Cemetery, Moores Hill, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or to Orphans of the Storm.
