    Paul R. Croissant, 83, of Greeley, CO, passed away Friday, April 22, 2005 at Hospice and Palliative Care. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2005 at Allnutt Funeral Service/Macy Chapel. A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2005 at the Macy Chapel. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery. Paul was born September 28, 1921 to Fred H. and Katherine (Vollmar) Croissant in Johnstown, CO. He married his high school sweetheart, Earlene Hendrix, on October 1, 1943 in Kersey, CO. Earlene preceded Paul in death on April 3, 1995. Paul attended school in Kuner, Colorado and graduated from Kersey High School. As a young adult, Paul, enjoyed playing basketball with friends who all remained friends throughout his entire life. Paul farmed in Kersey, Ault and Pleasant Valley before leaving the farm and moving to Greeley in 1956. After his move to Greeley, Paul began a 38 year career of selling farm equipment, working first for Hammons Implement and then for Law Equipment, now known as Bi-State Equipment. Paul's love for farming was evidenced by his gardens, roses and his yard, as his own special little farm. Music was an important part of his life, and he enjoyed playing the piano, accordion and harmonica, all of which he played without any formal training. Paul was a member of the Greeley Senior Center, Senior Center Harmonica Club and St. Paul's Congregational Church. Surviving Paul is his son, Marlan P. Croissant and wife, Lois, of Greeley, CO and daughter, Katherine and husband, Gerry Spomer, of Grand Junction, CO. Also surviving are his sisters, Emma Haas of Evans, CO and Freda and her husband, Herman Rady of Greeley, CO; grandchildren, Cameron Deppe, Paula Zimmerman all of Grand Junction, Luke Croissant of Greeley, CO and Matthew Croissant of Denver, CO; great grandchildren, Morgan and Ryan; and special friend, Genevieve Ochsner of Greeley, CO. His parents and brothers, Fred, Henry, John, Ed, Bill, Erwin, Ruben, Art, Harvey, and Willie preceded him in death. Memorial may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care in care of Allnutt Macy Chapel, 702 13th Street, Greeley, CO 80631.
