Information from obituary of Herbert Sayler Herbert came to McLean County as a young child with his parents. He worked in banks at Krem and Underwood. After his marriage to Dorothy Schlect they farmed in the Underwood area until 1937. That same year, Herbert began working with Standard Oil as a bulk dealer at Underwood, but switched to Texaco products and started a Texaco station in Underwood in 1943. He sold his business and retired in 1960.

Herbert heiratete Schlecht, Dorothy am 3 Mrz 1925 in Napoleon, Logan County, North Dakota, USA.
