    Robert James Roth ‘Bob’ 80, of St. Paul, NE passed into his eternal state of rest on November 17, 2018 at Brookfield Park in St. Paul, NE.
    Visitation will be 5-7pm on Sunday, November 25th at Jacobsen-Greenway Funeral Home in St. Paul, NE. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, November 26th, 2018 at the Presbyterian Church in St. Paul, NE. Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in St. Paul.
    “Bob” was born in Lynch, Nebraska on February 22, 1938 to William and Martha (Zimmerman) Roth.
    He grew up on a farm near Butte, Nebraska and attended a rural country school from K-8th grade. He then attended high school in Fairfax, South Dakota for 1 year and transferred to Butte High School to finish his schooling where he graduated in 1957.
    Bob then moved to Omaha where he worked construction until he met the love of his life, Charlene Rice. They were united in marriage on December 2 of 1967. And he started working for Continental Trailways in Omaha as a bus mechanic. In 1973, the couple moved to Farwell, Nebraska where bob took a job as mechanic at the Farwell Irrigation District. They moved to St. Paul in 1991.
    Bob was a volunteer fireman while residing in Farwell and was always helping friends and family with car or mower repairs, and any other handy jobs they needed help with. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in St. Paul.
    Bob has been a member of the Presbyterian church in St. Paul since 1980.
    They enjoyed playing cards with friends and attending polka dances, but most of all their grandchildren and their activities were the highlight of their lives. Bob retired in 2003.
    In 2016, Bob moved to Fullerton Care and Rehab Center in Fullerton and in 2017 he moved to Brookfield Park in St. Paul where he spent his remaining days enjoying the company of friends and family, and socializing over vanilla ice cream!
    Bob is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Deb & Dan Radke of Fullerton; grandson & his wife, Nathan & Terisa Hoffman of Oceanside, CA; granddaughter & her husband, Deirdre & Nicholas Walsh of Bennington, NE; grandson, Nick Hoffman & fiancé,’ Hilary Kava of Clarks, NE; grandson and his wife, Nolan & Natalie Hoffman of Omaha, and grandson & his wife, Nevan Hoffman of Wayne, NE; great granddaughters, Aubree Hoffman of Oceanside, CA and Sutton Repetta of Omaha; brother & sister-in-law, Gary & Phyllis Roth of La Vista, NE; and niece, Tiffany & Dan Priester of Albion.
    Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Charlene, in 2003; an infant brother; an infant sister; and his parents.

    Robert heiratete Rice, Charleen am 2 Dez 1967 in Palmer, Merrick County, Nebraska, USA. Charleen (Tochter von Rice, Don und Wiser, Elaine) wurde geboren am 29 Aug 1947 in Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, USA; gestorben am 5 Sep 2003 in Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, USA; wurde beigesetzt in Elmwood Cemetery, Saint Paul, Howard County, Nebraska, USA.
