OBITUARY
Martin Reuer, 78, Missouri Slope Lutheran Care Center, died Nov. 13, 1997, in the nursing home. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, with the Rev. James Sorenson officiating. Burial will be in Napoleon Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today, at Perry Funeral Home, Mandan, and for one hour prior to services at the church. Martin was born Nov. 7, 1919, south of Dawson, to John and Magdalena (Schmierer) Reuer. He married Ruth Retzlaff on Dec. 3, 1944, in Napoleon. They farmed south of Dawson until October of 1952, when they moved to Bismarck. Martin enjoyed old time music and dancing. He worked in construction for several years and in 1964, he worked for J.C. Penney Co., retiring in 1982. His wife died in 1975. He is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mae and Bill McDonald of Lincoln, Neb., Maxine and Jim Bosch of Bismarck and Clarinda Reuer of Norwich; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Tim of Bismarck; and Rob and Tracy of Houston; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Emaline of Steele and Fred and Leona of Bismarck; eight grandchildren, Tammy Bulman, Tracy Carson, Tom and Christopher Reuer, Jennifer and Scott McDonald and Jamie and Heidi Bosch; and six great-grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, and Emily Carson and Andrew, Jessica and Bailee Bulman. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son; one daughter; two sisters; two brothers; and one daughter-in-law.
