Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, October 15th for Albert Rudolf, who passed away Wednesday evening in the St. Paul hospital....
Albert Rudolf was born December 29, 1905 to Otto and Bertha Templin Rudolf. He was born in their home near Palmer. With the exception of seven years spent in the Chapman community, he lived his life in the Palmer area.
Several things held his interest, but they all centered around people and especially young people. In his early teens he became a member of the Palmer band. At the same time and for many years to come he was an avid baseball fan. Al began playing baseball in his early teems and played for many years.
On October 22, 1930 at St. Paul, Nebraska, he was married to Esther Zlomke. To this marriage was born 2 daughters and 3 sons.
One of his joys was to drive a school bus for the Palmer Schools. He did this for eight years and was loved by all of his passengers.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren church.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Esther, their children, Mrs. Jack Rawlings, Ralph, Wayne and Gary; eleven grandchildren, his sisters and brothers and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Shirley Ann, two sisters and one nephew.
