Clinton, Iowa - Services for Julius T. Schaefer, of 655 6th Ave. S., will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Cannon Funeral Home, Clinton. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal, with military services by Moline American Legion. Visitation is 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Schaefer died Saturday, March 27, 1999, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.
He worked 40 years at Climax Co., Clinton.
He was born Feb. 14, 1915, in Tenvic, N.D.
During World War II, he served in the Army. A memorial fund has been established.
Survivors include sisters, Bertha Rickertson, Charlotte, Freda Martin, Moline, Kathryn Cousins, Clinton, Emily Weber, Austin, Texas, Martha Supann, St. Paul, Minn., and Esther Hunn, Bloomington, Minn.; and brothers, Edwin H. and Vern E., both of Clinton.
