      DYERSVILLE, Iowa - Floyd J. Klostermann, 65, of Dyersville, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, following a short illness. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis Xavier Basilica, Dyersville, with the Rev. Jerry Kopacek officiating, the Rev. Phil Kruse as homilist and Monsignor Drake Shafer as lector. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today at Kramer Funeral Home, Dyersville, where there will be a parish scripture service at 5 p.m., and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 7 p.m. He served in the Army in 1958 for six months active duty, serving five years in the reserves. He was discharged in 1963. He was born on May 24, 1939, in Petersburg, son of Everett C. and Bernice F. (Kruse) Klostermann. He attended Ss. Peter & Paul School, Petersburg. He married Esther L. Lake, of Luxemburg, on Sept. 14, 1959, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Luxemburg. He purchased the Petersburg Creamery of Petersburg Spur, and together they started Floyd's Feed Store in 1960. Upon retirement, they sold the business to two sons, and it's now known as Klostermann Bros. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish, St. Francis Xavier School Board, Iowa Grain and Feed Board, United Suppliers, Independent Dealer Organization Board, a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus Dubourg Assembly and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1734. He served on the Dyersville City Council, was a Beckman Booster and was an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous. Floyd enjoyed playing cards, visiting with people and watching his grandchildren participate in sports activities. He was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, the Denver Broncos and the Beckman Blazer baseball team. Surviving are his wife, Esther; a daughter, Krystal (Scott) Resetich, of Sugar Grove, Ill.; four sons, Brad Klostermann, of Petersburg, Bruce (Nancy) Klostermann, of Dubuque, Bryon (Dana) Klostermann, of Davenport, and Barry (Lisa) Klostermann, of Dyersville; nine grandchildren, Zach, Erin, Alyssa, Paige, Ben, Brooke, Blair, Abbey and baby Klostermann, due later this year; a sister, Mary Kay (Gerald) Westhoff, of New Vienna; a brother, Donald (Cheryl) Klostermann, of Dyersville; his in-laws, Alice Mae (Eddie) Schieltz and Grace (Jerry) Schieltz, both of Luxemburg, Wilma Lake, of Dyersville, Joann Besler, of Hopkinton, Gladys (Bob) Elgin, of Bankston, and Edward Lake, of Dubuque; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Bernice Klostermann; his in-laws, Edward and Agatha Lake; and two brothers-in-law, James Lake and Bill Besler. A Floyd J.
