    Funeral services for Maizie Fink, age 64, of Livingston, MT; formerly of Hettinger, ND; will be 2:00pm Saturday, December 10, at the Hettinger Lutheran Church. Pastor Kathleen Dettmann will officiate with burial in the Hettinger Cemetery.
    A family service will be held at 7:00pm on Friday evening at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger.
    A memorial service will also be held at 1:30pm on Tuesday, December 13, at the American Lutheran Church in Livingston, MT with Pastor Peggy Leuzinger, officiating.
    Serving as Honorary Casketbearers are Julie Fink, Kristen Fink, Jessie Dotson, Beth Honeyman, and Chancey Fink. Active Casketbearers are Jason Fink, Matthew Honeyman, Devan Fink, Cooper Fink, Russell Miller, Dan Engraf and Wayne Engraf.
    Maizie Jean Stenberg was born March 16, 1941 to Gerhard (Gay) and Minnie (Goplin) Stenberg at New England, ND. She received her education at the Hettinger Public School. On November 10, 1957, she was united in marriage to Edwin Fink at Hettinger. Four children, Todd, Lisa, Ed, and Trent were born to this union. Edwin and Maizie were engaged in farming in Perkins County, SD south of Reeder and then in Adams County, ND north of Hettinger.
    Maizie was well known in the community for her cooking skills, most notably at the Hettinger Sale Barn.
    Following the sale of their farm in 1978, Edwin and Maizie purchased a motel and moved to Livingston, MT. They were active member of the business community with a taxi service and sewing store as well. Maizie worked for Big Sky Resort and earned a Montana Realtor's License. Following Edwin's death, she opened her home to foster children. She will be long remembered for her generous spirit, tremendous work ethic, and magnificent laugh.
    She was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Livingston, MT, Son's of Norway Lodge, and the Montana Innkeepers Association.
    Maizie passed from this life on December 7, 2005, at the home of her daughter in Dickinson, ND, following a courageous battle with cancer.
    Maizie is survived by her children, Todd (Brenda) Fink, Prairie City, SD; Lisa (Rolan) Honeyman, Dickinson, ND; Ed (Sina) Fink, Glendive, MT; and Trent Fink, Livingston, MT; nine grandchildren, sister, LaVone (Ted) Kent, Oregon City, OR; sister-in-law, Norma Erickson, Hettinger, ND; brother-in-law, Wilbert (Arlene) Fink, Belle Fourche, SD; sister-in-law, Delores Warrick, Spearfish, SD; uncle, Julius Goplin, Hettinger, ND; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Maizie was blessed to have a number of good friends that supported her through her many challenges. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Gerald (Gussy); her husband, Edwin; and her nephew, John Kent. Visitation will be Friday, 1:00 to 7:00pm; Saturday, 9:00am to 12:00 noon at the Evanson-Jensen Funeral Home in Hettinger and one hour prior to services at the Hettinger Lutheran Church.
